What are the basic necessities?

Basic necessities are what humans needs to feel clean and healthy in their homes and everyday lives and embrace human dignity. This can include deodorant, bar soap, soft soap, dental floss, flushable wipes, paper towels, facial tissue, toilet tissue, mouthwash, shampoo/conditioner, disinfectant cleaner, toothpaste, hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, garbage bags, bleach, dryer sheets, toothbrushes, sponges, cleaners, floor cleaner, or dish soap.

These items are not covered under any federally funded program such as SNAP, WIC, and other government assistance programs.

Who needs the basics?

Everyone deserves the basic necessities to live a healthy and clean life.

A student may hold back raising their hand or making friends if they are unable to properly clean themselves at home.

Someone seeking employment may not be able to attend an interview confidently due to unclean clothes or body.

Those who receive daily living skills services in their home no longer need to to worry about their services being interrupted when these items are not available to them.

We work with many partners in Northeast Wisconsin to help distribute products to community members. Please contact us at info@chhcinc.org with your zip code and we will work to connect you with a partner in your area to best fit your situation.

How can I volunteer my time?

We offer internships and volunteer opportunities for our #RocktheDockCHHC music festival, #HolidayGivingCampaign, and our #LetsMakeADifferenceCampaign Healthy and Hygiene drives.

All abilities and ages are welcome! From bagging products to stuffing envelopes, no task is too small to help.
